Used to go to the Asha in the 70s just before closing time on a Saturday night if (as usual) we didn't get lucky at the Beachcomber or   at Club Babalou. 'Mr Asha' would always glare at us through the glass door until we looked like we were leaving, and then let us in anyway saying "but you have to hurry".

Have lived abroad since then. but finally got my wife to go there last August, she's had 28 years of listening to me comparing curries all over the world unfavourably with the Asha's Chicken Madras. Have to say it was even better than I remembered. 

I'm glad I got there one last time. Enjoy your retirement Mr Choudhury.</description>
