Published by May 21st, 2007 in Cultural History of Bold Street, Social Media and Video. 0 CommentsWhen researching what’s already out there “on Bold Street on Youtube”, we were pleased to find a selection of Bold Street Events already “youtubed”. There’s the good, the bad and the delightful; this is from Maximo Park cutting the ribbon at the opening of the new HMV on Bold Street recently.

Talking Bold Street
Published by May 16th, 2007 in Community of Bold Street, Work in Progress and tenantspin. 0 CommentsWe have developed this blog to offer a growing snapshot of our research into Bold Street, and the creation of our project and exhibition “The Bold Street”, launching June 29th. This week we’ve been getting the whole project team blogging, so watch out for a variety of new posts from Alan, Patrick, Michelle, Laura, Ed and Joan. Having sung the praises of Wordpress for may blog projects we’ll soon see it in action for multi-author blogs.
We (Katie and Michelle) went on a tour of St Luke’s church. Whilst we didn’t get to go inside, we did get some great pictures from the church looking towards Hardman Street and down towards Bold Street. Also, we got quite a history lesson! All our pictures will be added to Flickr, the photo sharing website. You can see the St Luke’s Church ones here.
Dishing the Dirt
Published by May 2nd, 2007 in Economy of Bold Street, Future of Bold Street and Video. 0 CommentsWe’ll be usng lots of online tools, social media spaces, and web services to spread the word about the Bold Street Project Exhibition. In addition, we’ll also use these spaces to offer an online version of the exhibition. Further more, we’ll be using these spaces to encourage anyone to contribute to the project and to facilitate that contribution. We’ll be discussing how, where and when on this blog. As well as offering an index to a variety of diverse Bold Street related content, we’ll be using the blog to share information on how we’re using Social Media tools. The next step in our project is to work with the content we already have and to share that online.
