tenantspin, is a community internet TV channel managed by FACT, Arena Housing and city-wide tenants, the majority of whom are over 50 and have been high-rise residents. tenantspin involves excluded parties in cultural activity and debate. Tenants are trained in producing live webcasts, all of which are archived online. tenantspin has two editorial strands - WAYS OF SEEING commissions leading artists (Chris Watson, Mike McCartney, Bill Drummond, Wayne Hemingway and BBC Radio 3) to develop content with tenants. Arena co-ordinate WAYS OF LIVING exploring social issues such as anti-social behaviour, care, money, the paranormal, regeneration, CCTV and healthy eating.

, the Foundation for Art & Creative Technology is the UK’s leading organisation for the commissioning and presentation of film, video and new media art forms. Founded in 1988 (then named Moviola) FACT has commissioned and presented over 100 digital media artworks with artists including Mark Wallinger, Barbara Kruger,Tony Oursler and Isaac Julien . FACT exists to inspire and promote the artistic significance of film, video and new and emerging media. FACT believes in the ability of individuals and communities to express themselves creatively and in the value of seeing themselves reflected in the world around them.

Arena Housing
Arena Housing supplies around 12,000 homes for 30,000 residents in the North of England. Arena runs tenantspin in partnership with FACT. tenantspin emerged from a 6-month pilot in 1999 in Liverpool’s oldest tower block and has been running ever since.
